Rewriting the chapters of my life trying to erase the jagged edge of the knife the one that cuts us all so deep we could almost hear the Angel weep tripping over daisy chains while tiptoeing through the rain leaving petals in my wake and all this for our forefathers sake? now my head finally out of the clouds hearing unfamiliar sounds comforting to my ears out of the darkness I have faced so many fears through it all never afraid to look you in the eye as you turned your back and covered up another lie though I may be just plain white trash I'll never relive the chapters of my past |
