Passions wane;

colors wash away,
fade more
with every autumn rain.

As days draw in
it seems the want
is gone-

desire a twice-played song.

On summer nights
the siren stars
called my name.

These winter stars don't know me.

RDB and my shadow friend, it's so good to hear from you.  I've been feeling this on and off for a while.  I hate cold, and gloomy days have a big effect on me.  But hey, I went out and walked around the block today, dodging ice falling off the trees and the power lines, so things are looking up.

Mornin', Pilgrim!

If you are one who is affected by the weather, I can well understand where you are coming from with this 'grim' write! lol

My goodness! Texas is certainly being bombarded with weather that is far less than the sunny you all are used to having!

May the stars know and guide you, no matter what the season is!

Giving you an extra 'warm' hug!

.....winter stars don't know me....gosh I like that picture! My poems have been few and far between lately, but words like these make me want to.

If I don't today, by tomorrow I'll HAVE to, eh?  And if not then, well, I just made a batch of wine, and I definitely want to get something done by the time it's turned out and aging in the bottle!

The winter stars don't know me...with that line alone you grabbed my thoughts and my inspiration. You don't post enough lady because your words always leave me hungry for more.
