If you think my job is easy
Just step inside my shoes
If you have a heart like me
It will affect you, too

For a job to be difficult
Isn’t always physical
At times it touches your heart
Becoming so emotional

I hide the tears from them
When I see them suffer
With all my heart I wish
I could make them feel better

But it seems, this I can not do
No matter how hard I try
And, when their time comes,
The tears still come to my eyes
