My life is but a keyboard,
Plastic letters to touch in communication
Spewing memories I hoard,
Or the vagueness of some emotion.
Shall I spill blood on the screen
With several slashes of a literary knife,
Ending some imagined life
Which may have been reality,
Just before this fantasy.
What of nightmares that invade my sleep
Disturbing me to waking
Reduced to counting entails of sheep
As reality crumbles to breaking
Leaving me tired to face reality
Downing cup after cup of coffee
To face frauds and phonies
And their family and cronies.
To drive
And drive returning to the same place
Where once they knew my face
To drive
And drive where now I am forgot
Where no longer comfort can be sought.
My life is a keyboard
Place memories to be lost and stored

Professor,
I would try your key board if I could play.
Perhaps in my second childhood. LOL

I know it is not easy, but you express it well...
