when it rains tonight
will you slip in through my heart
anchor my soul to my body
with yours

will you hold me in flannel arms
whisper memories
in my long quiet ear

will you tell me
how it was then
when you loved me
in brazen sunlight
and I knew it

can you feel
how I missed your
breath

when it rains tonight
will you slip in through my heart
to the place you once lived

and let the rain

sing us
on the window

This sounds as if
there is a traces poem
to come soon.

Very, very well done.

Were I to critique [and a
few thoughts did hit me!]
I would send them by private mail,
because one can see
that this is a very special poem,

and requires a very special touch -

yours.

Perfect dear Lady!
A most memorable series this is.

In the midst of winter,
I found there lives within me..
An invincible summer.

I need not slip in
you have breathed my love inside
our souls intertwined

Poet, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

Lady....there is something romantic about rain in the night...the sound perhaps?  or..just the thought of cozy love in something flannel.  How beautifully you write!

You, my dear, leave me breathless.  I really can't express how deeply I am feeling the michael poems - but I savor each one as emotion just reaches in and wraps around my heart.  You are beautiful.
