Warriors Heart!

Someone stold my heart away long and long ago, mighty warrior
standing free and proud beneath the midday sun.
Never would he give up nor listen to their lies, and though his
heart was breaking my warrior would not run.
Concern for his people gave him strength that day,he would not
leave until they were safe then his pony he let run.
Alone he would face them and turn the tide
away,women,children,and Elders needed to escape.
Once the trail was broken he knew they would track them
there, into the rocks he led them hiding every trace.
The other warriors also wished to join this fight,he knew he
could not let them the price would be too high.
Go with the People brothers this one I fight alone, live now for
my people you will fight another day.
And so my mighty warrior gave his life that day, never has Mother
Earth recieved the blood of a truer heart!

A true story of my grandmothers, grandmothers first love as told by
my grandmother!

Sigi ThisDiamond, sadly so many of them end this way and yet my friend there are those few who will never allow them to be forgotten.
