My love is like a red rose sweet
In dusty dew that glistens,
From those droplets, light rays meet
A World that truly listens.

The sweetness flows in lines of gold
That shimmer within the haze,
Past does stop, in love enfold
Light's guide through worldly maze

Cupid's darts, bursts of peace
Fire into land of hurt,
Desert Soul dines well at feast
Of plenty's new found spurt.

That beauteous redness, hue of blood
That goblet's glistening glow
The Wine in Earth a listening flood
Of shimmering seeds to sow.

Each seed grows to counter cold
In heart rays mirrored back
As all around, the world enfolds
Warmth hearts no longer lack

The mirrors new in dusty dew
Light up a world of sorrow
As bounteous breeze of freshness blew
A Clarion note to follow

As Beauty flows to meet its fate
As petal curls to sever
That beauteous love does not abate
But lives in hearts forever

Poetry is just the evidence of life.
If your life is burning well, poetry is just the ash. "

I very seldom respond, on any site, to poetry written about love, not because I do not read it but because I find good poetry in relation to this subject very personal and above any critique I would offer.  (There is unfortunately a lot of very bad poetry attempted on this subject also)

However, I find it very difficult to restrain from  making comments when I find excellent, form, rhythm and rhyme written in a fashion that shows true control of the medium.

I am not even going to select a stanza to holdup for admiration as I think your comparative narrative excels in all of them.

As a rhyming poet myself (out of fashion nowadays of course), may I say that the perfection I find in your work exceptional and look forward to finding more of your work on varying subjects.

Have Fun,

Ivor

The moment created this second, is a  moment that's going to last.
It lives the full spectrum of time, the future, the present and past.

Thanks Bea

Ivor thank you kindly for the nice comment, and your right good love poetry is hard to find in structure and in decent meter.
