I fail to be who everyone wants me to be,
and now I am lost at who I am to be.
I fail to be one whom people trust,
to be on time, to follow through.
I fail to be one who brings happiness,
to be there for you when you need me.

I fail to be who I am,
and now I stand here lost.

I am nothing more than a failure,
who can no longer try again.
I am nothing more than hopeless,
for people do not forgive.
Society has it,
that people cannot change.

I fail to be who people want me to be,
because I am growing up.

I am nothing more than a failure,
who is slowly making her way.
I am trampling in the mud,
waiting for my day.
Society has it,
that I am a bad person and will forever be that way.

I fail to feel emotion,
I fail to see the day.
When maybe this emptiness,
will finally go away.

Kellie, I've come to realize in my age that it doesn't matter what people expect. They aren't going with you when you leave this earth.

You will never sleep alone unless you wish to.
