I was thinking about Kit and Nan this morning and how early they get up to see their sunrises, whereas I am more a sunset person.  They both came to B.C., and I just knew Nan would love to see this snow.  We are not only in snow, but a frozen wonderland I am serious.  It has never been this bad before - but to me - it's just great!  I love it, but then again I don't have to drive.   ;

My new puppy, Annie loves it out there - is she cute or what?

and the best part was this:

ohhh Sharon, I love the poem, your words, and of course, Annie, isn't she just so adorable?  I was trying to adopt a Bishoun (sp)?  But don't think it's fair cuz I'm still working...

but this presentation was stunning, very much enjoyed, thank you.

I'm up every morning at 4 a.m. and love that quiet time...the sunrises...

you live in a very beautiful place.

thank you for sharing

Quiet LJ was invented here I think and is the base of my life period.  If I need noise I can find it easily enough for sure.

Annie, is a Chorkie, (1/2 Chichauhua, 1/2 Yorkshire Terrior,) and thank goodness she and I start school at the end of January, before my hair turns grey.  I had forgotten what a big job being a "mother" was.     Once again take this opportunity to salute all mothers, they sure earn it.

Having an animal is a big responsibility just like a child, and you sure have to be prepared to put in the work, time, love and attention to make them upstanding petizens.  That is why they invented "doggie daycare" Lee, so they can socialize when you are at work with other beings of their species. Even Annie will go when she gets older, just for the social aspect.  What the heck!  I can have a massage, she can go play?

Hi Sharon! That is beautiful snow. But, I am one who would have to get out and drive in it. So, you keep that beautiful snow there. Although, I have been hearing that we are in for some real bad weather here in Oklahoma City, starting possibly tonight. Sure am glad I don't hve to work this weekend. Maybe it will be gone by Monday. By the way, that is the cutest little puppy. Looks like she doesn't like getting her feet wet from the snow. LOL! I am an animal lover, you know.

Brother!  I just tried to go for a walk and landed donkey over teakettle twice.  Now the place is an ice palace and going to get worse they say.  Oh well, it makes life interesting.     Trust me Karenity it's very real.  Whistler (our ski resort) has had 27 feet of snow and counting.  This is our 14th storm by the way, and it is getting boring.

So?  How is everyone else's weather right now?

Thanks for the read folks.

Boy Hope, he was brave must have been quite a ride to get up to Cleveland Dam today - but what a beautiful site once you get there.  4-wheel drive is the answer these days.  You can send some of your heat this way I'll gladly take it.

I think we traded weathermen, Sharon. Ontario has been just beautiful and mild with practically no snow. We had a dusting the other day, but it's gone again this morning. It's like someone is playing tricks this year!

PS ... as much as I love the pictures, I still don't miss driving in all the snow, lol.

Best wishes and hugs,
/Kit

Good morning, Sharon! As Dixie just replied, I too love this entire thread!

I got a chuckle out of your "outstanding petizen" in your reply to Lee.

I also learned of a new breed of dog ~ Chorkie, (1/2 Chichauhua, 1/2 Yorkshire Terrior). Your Annie is adorable! I believe she has the personality of her Mommy!

I love the snow, but as Kit wrote, we in Ontario have not seen much of the white stuff   ~ to my chagrin!

Sorry to hear of your donkey over teakettle experiences! Perhaps you should put a pillow in your pants when you venture into BC's winter wonderland! lol Now that would be cute to see! Better safe than sorry, as they say!

Well I might as well whine some more today, it is freezing out there, and the ice palace has grown overnight.

Annie, Sheba and I are at each other but trying to cope, and I am out of milk and bread, and that means ... another "donkey over teakettle walk" to the village through the forest I showed you up above.  The worst part?  I haven't seen my grandgirls since this started as they are even further up this mountain, and are walking to school, (which is good for them.)     Now are these not faces one would miss?

This truly is getting to be a real drag!  I can't believe you guys in the East put up with this, I would move!

Thanks for the wonderful replies, it keeps our spirits up to interact over the winter months, until we all thaw into Spring.

p.s. Earth Angel: I already have a very bruised built-in pillow

Hi Sharon, long time, and thanks for remembering who the heck I am...We got a lot of that ice recently, though not as bad. My car was a total block of ice that I couldn't even chip off for 2 days though. Its ok, I like to stay home lately. This is odd weather for you, isn't it? Normal for us. Did anyone see it snowed in MALIBU California. Too funny. This whole year has been confused, in so many ways. Make that the last 6 years!
Hugs, and stay warm
Sandra

Hi Sandra, and of course I always remember you Well...I never thought I would be glad to see the rain, but boy am I ever!  At least I see sidewalks starting to come back, and you can walk without holding your breath on ice now. Thanks everyone for the nice comments, and it's good to know what it is doing at your end of the world too.

I know I shouldn't complain at 34 degrees, but my heater took this cold snap to snap and when it's colder inside than out, one must work hard or walk to stay warm.  I found that a heating bad could be my best friend at night. Take care!
