~Write me a moon
of soft syncopated swoon
Across the skyline of the night
Ebon on display, in moonlight array
as stars dance waltz with the Milky Way
Enter the clouds of fluffy adorn out where
the new dreams of this night are now borne
Saturn seduces Jupiter, they court through
this night, then just when the morn begins
making newlight, they come soft glowed
in colors all bright, knowing they’ll be
around throughout eternity’s flight
Swoon a moon of words so gay
then send them phasing on
their merry way~

I love poems about the moon--or anything in the sky--and you've written the moon here so beautifully, Marge! Good to read you again. I've missed your words!

Ya make me want to do just that! I don't write with any regularity these days -- there just doesn't seem to be much of anything I want to say anymore, and too few I would want to show my soul......but when I read this, I want to write a moon and send it to you gift-wrapped, with a shiny red bow.

~Good Heavens
I am negligent in commenting on
the replies that you sent me on this moon song
rectifying that just now, thanking you all, HOLY COW
reading the replies so kind, totally messes with my mind
Full moon is now pending up in this newness of March sky
Lens-capturing it in my words of great surprise
Knowing that I must attend, to the beauty
my little ink-of-think muse does send
To all a thank you seems right
Good Heavens~

I debated long, I debated hard
I debated over which honored Bard
I at long last should choose
for whom my 1000th posting, to use.

It could be no one other than Marge herself.
For Marge remembers me when I am scarce
She looks for me even when my heart doesn’t sing.

For all your faithful response
For all your steady inspiration
For the genius of your creations

Thank you, Marge!

Here is number 1000…just for you.
