Curiousity, and wonder

0 posted 2012-03-25 08:22 PM

Open your eyes to the false darkness,
Feel the rain drip down your cheeks,
Tears of rage unleashed from the heavens,
Screaming out her agony and pain.

Lighting furiously claws the sky apart,
Followed by the screams in the form of thunder,
The rain falls faster, striking you,
Crying, howling, screaming all around you.

You stand in the middle of the storm,
Crying softly with her grief,
The wind whips your hair, and your clothes,
Stinging your flesh with her electrified tears.

Stroking her icy fingers over you,
Her tears slow, her grief abates,
Sobbing silently, the clouds disperse,
And an echo of her smile flits across the sky.

You see the reflection of her smile,
A thousand rainbows glistening in every drop,
Her tears sprinkled like diamond dust,
Across every leaf, petal, and stem.

A single drop slides slowly,
Caressing the curves of the petal,
Highlighting the delicate colours,
Of the blossom faint blush,

Emeralds adorn the trees,
Gracing there branches,
Dripping softly, throwing the sunlight everywhere,
A myriad of lights dance softly in the stillness.

And you, you kneel looking in the pond,
To the secrets the depth hold,
Gathering every tear, holding them close,
Reflecting the peace, in the aftermath....

Lose yourself to the storm,
Immerse your self in the pond,
And live, live within the stillness,
Offered only after the chaos comes.

I can't believe people have not responded to your write. Great write. I especially like these two lines.

"You see the reflection of her smile,
A thousand rainbows glistening in every drop"

I speak insanity. I write fantasy. I sleep reality.

I can understand why, its not something people would normally read, But I will tell you a secret... I haven't picked up a creative pen in years.

I had lost inspiration chasing a dream. So I guess i'm rusty. But if you read it, if only one person reads it, and sees something wonderful. That makes it worth while.

Words have power, Im going to unleash the power of my soul.

Humm...interesting personality...Rebecca Jade. I'm an old man and I've weathered a lot of storms but hope to continue to weather  some more!

Remember this...We live in a world of systems. Some of those systems are natural...waiting to be discovered. The others, the manmade ones, are artificial... but... in those systems...if we keep on truckin', there will be a day, when out of chaos, order comes.

By the way...enjoyed "Calm within the storm" as well as the other poems you have written. It helps me understand the poet.

Good writing and a good future to you as well...

I find myself reading your posts just to see what you are going to come up with next. I don't usually pick because of writer, but you my dear are one i will read just because i feel a connection. Mirrors and storms...one i hate one i love....Keep at it and the rust will go away.
