If I was told that I could choose
A dream that would come true,
I hope I wouldn't choose a dream
To help but one or two.
That dream must be magnificent
And a benefit to all.
The world right now is hurting.
I must make a careful call.

Would it be a cure for cancer?
A worthy dream indeed,
Or perhaps an end to world hunger
To feed a world in need?
No, I would ask that wars would end
And peace would reign supreme,
Then every corner of the world
Would be better for my dream.

If wars would end, the other dreams
Could then at last, come true,
When the energy we use to quarrel
Is saved, lives to renew

His simple message,
"Love one another.
You're all my children.
He's your brother!"

I know it's resplendant with
those dreams that many of us
cannot even fathom, let alone
put into words...

A wonderful poem and the choice was perfect. Would that our prayers could all be heard and acted upon by the people who cause these wars.
