Enchanted Meadow

Sitting in the meadow grass,
I watch to see just what will pass
If I am quiet, also still.
A meadowlark begins to trill
A lovely song and soon I hear
A mourning dove that's very near.
A rabbit hops along a trail
And suddenly a flock of quail
Come scurrying in single file,
Then stop to peck around awhile.
But soon they're off and I can see
None of these creatures noticed me.
I feel as if I am a part
Of soil and plants and I should start
To put down roots so I could stay
And view this scenery every day!
One, with the bees and butterflies
And clouds that race across the skies.
With flowers scattered here and there.
With wind that ruffles up my hair.
Though it's time to rise and go,
These scenes will stay with me, I know!

Excellent, and you see, you have employed good roots and gathered needed nourishment.

Hi Trillium.  This is a lovely poem.  I am having trouble with my computer and it has erased all of my info to get into sites.  i am working in safe mode now and it is very unwieldly.  So I will not be able to read or answer.  Unless I can get in on my daughter's computer.  They are picking mine up today to try to get it back in working order.  Love, Joyce
