I've always believed in miracles
And asked God to send me one,
Just to help me through the sadness
After he'd taken my son.

My son and I shared a passion for clocks,
We each had quite a few.
He helped to keep them all working
And ticking on like new.

Two clocks of mine had stubbornly stopped,
Though he'd worked on them for years.
They didn't respond to his tinkering.
He said they had worn out gears.

Some time after God took him
I walked by the cuckoo clock.
I gave the pendelum a swing,
Was startled by a loud tick-tock.

I was so surprised, I said aloud,
"I know you fixed it Son.
Now just to please your mother,
Would you start the other one?"

I opened the door of the Grandfather's clock
And swung the pendulum.
The old clock found it's rhythm
And started in to hum.

It has been ten years since my son's death.
Those clocks are doing fine.
As I wind them weekly, I thank God
For these miracles of mine.

Oh, dear Joyce, how I love this miracle of yours. This is also uplifting, insofar it shows how the soul connection continues even after death.

Most wonderful!

Love and hugs.
Margherita
