Earth's Echoes

The wildlife voices that I hear,
All echo softly in my ear.
A gift to us from Mother Earth,
Who loves each creature for its worth.
I listen for them every day
And pray that they won't fade away.
If I should never hear an owl,
A coyote's bark, a wild wolf's call,
Or bugle of an elk in fall,
The music of the geese that call
As they pass over on their way
To where they winter, then I'd say,
My life has lost a vital part.
It would lie heavy on my heart!
I listen for the sounds of spring
In songs the robins gaily sing.
The Stellar's jays, whose raucous sound
Let's us know they are around.
The hummingbirds who buzz on by
And eagle's screams from out the sky.
So many natural sounds that blend
And hopefully, will never end!

"The wildlife voices that I hear"

"The Stellar's jays, whose raucous sound
Let's us know they are around."

these two lines are special in meaning.  (for me)

This a good alone poem - meaning when your alone you always want to be or read something that is calm and peaceful to the mind like nature. this poem is a good example of it

take care

The wildlife voices that I hear,
All echo softly in my ear.
Sometimes for me, the wildvoices are barking dogs, and disobedient children

I loved Laverne's comment to you as I have often found you to be one I like to read when I really want quiet moments.  The peacefulness of your writing is very comforting.  Beautiful as usual.
