When I was a younger man
I was the balanced example; true Fruedian
ego set in unconscious balance
Rebuking all demons to obey,
I was open to angels whispering wisdom
A testament to purity's innocence

When I was a younger man
I was the silenced example; true equestrian
Honor set in chivalrous talent
Playing his cello song for them,
the deaf, to angels’ whispered wisdom
It was my testament to unrequited love

I am a young man,
I am rebuked by demons to obey
This deafness to whispered wisdom
And the angels calling my name,
Like a lost boy
I am sickened by my own pride
So I’ll ride this drum to find
That little boy I left behind

It is sad when the little boy gets lost.  Well written.  Joyce
