Delayed Spring We're still waiting for true springtime, Though the flowers do not care. They raise sweet, adoring faces To the sun that isn't there. The apple blossoms flutter down Like snow flakes not long gone. Housekeeping wind comes whirling in To send them twirling on. The weatherman has promised Warmer weather coming soon. Fair spring won't have much time to stay If summer comes in June. Joyce 5/15/08 |

Dear joyce: I like your poem and we have the same situation here. Although today it is 74 degrees out here in the foothills. Warmer in town. The snow is really melting! Two seasons this year I guess.......winter and summer! Love Betty lou Betty Lou Hebert |

You say it beautifully, dear Joyce. It seems the weather all around the world is slightly "out of season". I had my cactus flowers blooming the other day and then the rain kept them close and I fear they won't open up again! Love and joy. Margherita |
