             Question

Time is passing so slowly.
The glaciers have not ceased to melt.
Yet, in another way,
time has passed so quickly
and the sun's rays are no longer felt.

The tropics have turned to temperates.
The temperates have turned to poles.
As one looks out, across this earth,
its only a cold and calloused thought,
that holds!

Humankind has existed
in a world of frost and ice
but how long will they survive
in the cold calloused hands
of bias?

yes, john, the poetry made me smile and laugh, too. the exchange and the interaction is good and very much alive on #42. keep up the good work. i will continue to stop by from time to time. seems there is a great deal of poetic communication and many of you have been interacting for a very long time.

I too strayed to #42 because the action here had slowed to a halt.  I got caught in a war there and have run back.  Joyce

yes, joyce, i understand your feelings. i enjoy the serenity and solitude found in pub #3. however, many of the experiences of my life are of little or no interest to others. yet, the pub always seems to provide some helpful dialogue from its contributors...so i just remain as a toad in the garden and am content with that existence.

"cold calloused hands of bias"

I don't even know how to say how much I admire the way you have put this! Great, terrific writing!

trillium, enjoyed your kindness, thoughts and words...but, toad, i be! now and forever!

and as for the "voice in the wilderness"...
hummm, its kind of like a large tree in the forest that falls...if there are no receptors, no sound occurs. i think this was one of joyce's concerns about pub #3. participation is somewhat thin.

Great read! Hopefully the answer to your question is much longer after reading this, but with empathy to the cause you present.
