You went away yesterday
To a better place
So now here I am sitting all alone

I can see you here, there, everywhere
Footprints in my heart
Missing you with every breath that I take

Your salvation was your parting gift to me
Thank you grandma
There is so much that I want to say
So much more that I want us to do together
But because you went to a better place called eternity
I can only hold you close in my memory

So here I am saying goodbye
I cry a little
Knowing I will never see you again till the day I die
But knowing that you went to a better place
I will smile a little more everyday
Until the day I'll see you again in paradise

My grandma accepted Christ just hours before she passed away, praise God! And in my quiet time with the Lord he spoke to me these words 'My life has just begun'. It is indeed affirmation of the beginning of her eternal life with Jesus, and the end of the drought in my spiritual life.

OhMichelle~
It is SO GOOD to see you~

I am sorry for your loss, but glad for your grandmother that she accepted Jesus into her life ... now she will be up there watching over you~

A poignantly beautiful spill of thoughts~

What an uplifting poem to wake up to.  I know you will miss your grandma in this life but you have that beautiful assurance to see her again.  Welcome back to us.  Love, Joyce

Dear MiCheLLe:  Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings with us, through this fine poem and your text.  I sympathize over the loss of your grandmother, but there is a joyous feeling too, in knowing she is now with the Lord.

Love

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost
