Clara

Today we have buried a loved one.
We know we've no right to be sad;
Safe in the arms of her Savior,
Clara must be ever so glad.
She spent her long life to the fullest;
Unselfishly doing her part
To give of her best to family and friends,
With love that came straight from her heart.

Her artistry was undisputed
In those busy and happy hours,
Painting her beautiful pictures
Arranging magnificent flowers.
We weep but the angels are smiling,
So happy to reclaim their own,
As she reunites with her dear ones,
in her home near the Golden Throne.

( I just lost a dear friend and mentor at a few days past her ninety-first birthday.)

Joyce~
Such a loving remember of a dear friend~
I can well imagine that indeed Clara is in a better place ... joyous to have passed through this earthly plane on her way to the next life~

*sigh* ... just this past Friday I lost a dear friend and high school classmate in a tragic automobile accident ... her smile and so many of the memories we shared have remained with me all weekend~

Dear Joyce:  This is a loving remembrance of your friend Clara! As usual so well done.

I too, have lost a dear friend in the past week. Even when you think you are prepared for this, you never really are!

Love

A beautiful tribute to a special lady. Geronimo has a quote for a situation as this.

I sat on the pine floor behind her wood range and played with my doll
while she sange "Beulah Land" and made biscuits for supper. It was a comforting hour, a time of homecoming, an aroma of baking bread and laughter and sharing what happened during the day.

E li si, Grandmother, was a caretaker, a person who fed all who came
through the countryside with no hope for supper and no place to sleep.

She gathered in family and impressed on them the need to help each other; she asked no favours and gave of all she had. She walks in my memory assurely as she ever walked - and surely she walks with others too.

"I have not forgotten what you told me, although a long time has passed.
I keep it in my memory."
Geronimo
