On Milford Sound

Forbidding peaks stand guard around
The fjord lake, called Milford Sound
And if you choose, you can explore
By boat, the wonder of the shore.
The waterfalls that score the sides.
The cavern where the glowworm hides.
Rainforest foliage and birds,
So beautiful, there are no words!
Seals and dolphins, penguins too,
Will often come to look at you.

It is a strange, enchanted place
Still steeped in legends from the race
Of Maori's, who have known
This land forever as their own.
On misty mornings, mystery,
Drips like rain from every tree
And in the muted sounds you hear,
Chanting, from some ancient year!

Dear MiCheLLe:  I've never been there either. Just read about it, but I'm sure it's very beautiful.

Dear Marge:  We almost moved to New Zealand once, many years ago, but we couldn't take our dog and that made up our minds for us!
Don't laugh!! He was such a wonderful dog and we were so attached to him!

Thanks and Ronnie says "hi"
