Da Vinci, crate in hand
Gloriously erect
Steadfast, holding for a native kodak
Eyes chasing every fling
Every zing
Taking note of every sparked butt
The breeze flicks with careless thumb
With the most awkward smile
I would imagine
A child might strive to make
In the face of Susan
The Sunday morning whip slinger
"He ain't got nowheres to be
Just waitin' on deliveries"
I hear from behind a pair
Of brass rimmed focals
George, playing commentator...
"Oh yeah? Who ain't got nowhere to be
In a left-brainer's world?"
"I ain't got nowheres to be"
"You're here aren't yah?"
"Yeah but I ain't gotta be"
I mused for a moment
Sipping on a 50 cent refill
Of house
And retorted with a shrug
Nothing worth wasting my lungs over
From behind our aimless friend
Soon appears a chef
Lapping up the exhaust
With winded lung
Like he hadn't smelt a smog
In ages
He reaches into a buttoned pocket
Retrieving a scribbling
Of this and that
In but an attosecond
Like an Amarillo lizard
He shoots back in -
Faster than my pencil can trace
His eye lashes
Remembered only by a quick
Streak 'cross a red-domed
Traffic light
A glint in Jersey's eye
His swift breeze trembling a sign
That flashes the words
"We serve it by the slice"

oh! and dialog, too...YOU serve it by the slice, man, and i want the recipe for the pie (i am a chef, you know...)
