I've never been the girl who obsesses over the way he looked at me
Who thinks about him all the time- guys aren't all I see
I've never been the girl instantly distracted when his eyes met mine
Being love sick isn't something  I do- love has never made me blind

I'm the girl who doesn't trust easily but isn't afraid of anything
Always thinking- trapped in love isn't a state I'm normally in
My hearts been chipped and cracked by all the people ever in my life
I'm unafraid to fight for my beliefs but nobody  can see me cry

This is so new to me because I'm falling for you and I don't know how to stop
I search for where you are in between breaks- sometimes we both look  lost
Afraid to acknowledge that all I can think about is  how much I want to be with you
Theres a part of me that knows I have no chance- no reason for you to feel this too

I' feel totally comfortable around you- like I don't have to pretend anymore
You flirt with me and it feels so right but why to you talk to me for?
If the other girl's who you are closer to- choose to make a play for your - I have no chance
I'm just one girl- who wants to be the one you ask to the winter formal dance

Before- I was never that other girl but now a part of me is becoming that way
I don't want to like you but my heart has decided that I don't get any say
I look at you wanting you to meet my eye and when you do-there's something-chemistry
My heart jumps- and though I'm afraid to even dream it- I want an us for you and me

*** Wrote this like a week ago and Tears of love's poem reminded me I still had that. I wanted to post it and get feedback.

I love it so much! I have never been one for longer poems always short and sweet I hope that one day I am able to express my feelings in longer poems like this in full...
