Is it just like the movies?
Is it fragile like lace?
Is it the feeling inside?
When I see your face...

Is it the first summer storm?
Is it the colours of fall?
Is it having so little?
But yet having it all...

Is it one in a million?
Is it a chance to belong?
Is it standing right here
Dancing to this song...

Is it real or a made up?
Is it what poets write best?
Is it the face that you’ve burned?
Right through my chest...

Is it making you laugh?
Or is it letting you cry
Is it the place we wish?
We all go when we die...

Is it your mother’s coat?
Or your fathers new wife
Is it the wish that you’re wishing?
Is it me in your life...

Is it a bitter sweet symphony?
Or a turtle neck dove?
Is it life in the fast lane?
Is it really LOVE!

Tonight 6,728,898,971 people in this world, give or take a few, are battling with the prospects of love, whether it be given, taken, un-requited, broken, received, unwanted, or life changing. When I was a little girl I was naive enough to believe that I was going to marry a prince, just like the ones I saw in the story books, in the movies and even in the Barbie doll boxes.Through my years, I like many other teenagers and most likely yourself, started to realise the truth when it come to happily ever after, it was never possible. This morning I woke up lying in my bed, looking back on my life. The person I’d become, the people I’d left behind. The tears I’ve shed crying over love that never really did go right and then it hit me I was living my happily ever after... We all are. Even though our lives are difficult and many of us are hurting this is our happily ever after, our one shot to make the best of the loves in our life. Our parents, our siblings, out men and our women; because we’re all doing what we can to get by in a world that tosses us down as soon as we feel we’re moving forward.
So remember tonight as it’s the begging of ever after, the promise of existing in life long enough to fall in love. There are 6,728,898,971 people in this world and maybe you’re lucky enough to be sitting right next to your prince charming. Just like I am....

Hi, "Aussie Chick", take it from an 'ole granny, you have what it takes. Your writing shows you have a mind and are ahead of the class. This, plus your youth and good looks, (add a big smile), will open many doors. Then it is up to you to produce. Good luck, go far and live your life as you see it. You have a good grasp on what to do. "late"
