Shadow Child

The side that’s always taken
Is never mine, bit hers
Even when she’s wrong as hell
My answer is ignored
It kills me that the coldness which creeps into her eyes
Glowing red and shooting sparks
Applauded, praised, adored
Mother stands beside her
Cutting knife goes deep
This betrayal of my mother
Slicing painful blow
My sister primitive sister
Who younger than i
Insults, degraded, berates me
And thinks herself above
There used to be such love here
Kindness compassion comradery
But the devil beguiled
And now her corpse
Remains

"Lucy: I think you are the most selfish person on the planet. George: Well that's just silly. Have you met everyone on the planet?"
