You held me tight, once
I wasn't scared to fall
I knew the light, once
Before I gave up on all

You said you would never let go
You'd always hold my hand
Your words, I will know
One day I would understand

You held me tight, once
I wasn't scared to run
I knew the light, once
Before I became undone

You gave your heart and took mine
I knew it from the start
Before our strings untwined
Though never did we part

You held me tight, once
I wasn't scared to bleed
I knew the light, once
Before I lost the will to see

Live in the present but don't forget the future

OMG! This poem is amazing!!! I like it alot! And your poem hits pretty close to home. =]
