Am I Ready: So afraid and so alone. Sitting on this lonely corner arms around my knees. My eyes full of tears of horror. I knew he was going too far, but he soothed my fears with every kiss. So stupid to believe his promises. I never thought It would end like this. Are my parents to blame? We never had "the talk". If they were more involved this could have all been stopped. No, no.. I can't pass the blame. I'll sit here, test in hand. My head hung in shame. Positive it reads. Nine months of hell from a short time of happiness and bliss. I should have known when I started to swell. How do I tell him? What do I say? "You're going to be a father." Will he run away? Will he stay, like he always said? It's different now. He'll surely leave instead. Enough feeling sorry for myself. It's not just about me anymore. But I'm still afraid and all alone. This towns newest teenage mom. |
