For You It was when I looked into your eyes And saw that faded light It was that moment then and there That I stepped into the night When you took your final breath And said you last goodbye I let go of your hand My lips stained with a lie It was from that very moment When you stole my fragile heart As you slipped into the weeping dawn You took that special part That bound me as a whole Glued my every seam This was no nightmare This was no dream You bravery and honesty You golden heart and steel will Your never ending love Was my daily pill You kept me going through the bad And on through the worst You guided me through troubled seas You found me when I was lost When my weary head Touched my weary hands And my weary feet Tread through weary lands You were always there In my darkness you were light You stood by my side And never gave up a fight But that day changed forever When you sunk down into sleep You left me with nothing more Than the salty tears I weep You were my sole reason For living and for life You were my everything Through tears, fears and strife What was I without you? Without you by my side I was now standing all alone With no where now to hide Never had I felt such pain Such twisted, bitter hate How could they have snatched you Surely this was not fate But even to this solemn day You still not have returned You will mark me forever more Your scar on me will burn For no one in this world Has ever touch my heart And even though your gone now I am not ready to part So I will never say goodbye, my love Wish you peace I will not do, For it is not that I do not wish you back It’s just, I can not live without you.
