Maybe the Blind Leading the Blind isn’t so Dangerous After All

I found that I was walking
The lines between the lines
Of bridges build before me
I was walking, I was blind

The things I saw were vivid
But locked behind white walls
Their outlines bleeding though
Like whispers in the halls

I couldn’t see the ground below
But I held a hand that led
My footsteps through the frozen land
And bound my wounds that bled

I always thought that all did see
Just the sights I saw
One day the clothe was loosed from me
And I stopped and stared in awe

The world that had been kept from me
The world I never knew
Was suddenly the only sight
I had within my view

With my eyes peeled wide open
I could see the hand I held
The blindfold from him too removed
For the first time we beheld

That the one we knew forever
Was the one we had just met
The one that I was seeing
would never cause regret

"Lucy: I think you are the most selfish person on the planet. George: Well that's just silly. Have you met everyone on the planet?"

Hey, Kate! This is incredible! Where have you been hiding this? I mean your poems are really well-written, but this blew my mind!
