In This Bind Of Vines

I lay here on the ground,
Trying to break free.
Meanwhile everything is growing tighter,
As this bind of vines slowly suffocates me.
Why did it have to end up this way?
You could have asked me...
And the answer would be sad.
But this punishment is unnecessary.
Could you please help me out of my misery?
You don’t know what I’ve done,
But surely you could forgive me?

As I lay in this bind of vines,
Dying second by second,
My rescuer comes and helps me out,
So I can see another day.
