inside the shadows

You could have just left me there to die,
you could have just left me alone.
Instead, you decided to "talk" to me,
to drain me out with your words.
Each syllable withdrawn from your icy lips,
gradually emptied my heart of life;
killing me slowly.
Couldn't you have just hit me like old times?
Couldn't you have just made me scream aloud?
Your words sliced deeper
then any blade could ever go.
And maybe, just maybe,
I wish you could have seen me bleed.

So cut me into pieces and tape me into something beautiful...
