Letter To Mommy:

Mommy I told you he wasn't nice
But for your mistake, I paid the price
Late at night he came into my room
From that point on all I felt was doom

I screamed but you were to drunk to care
I tried to run but he pulled my hair
He pushed me on the floor with force
But you were to busy to hear, of course

I knew this was going to happen
From the way he stared
Did you ever look in my eyes?
And see I was scared?

I tried to tell you,
Long before that day
But you wouldn't listen
You pushed it all away

You said I was stubborn
When I said he had to go
It was stupid not to listen mommy
You should have known

Every time I warned you,
You blocked out the sound
Well guess what mommy
Soon I'm going to be 10 feet below the ground

Thanks mommy for being there
It means a lot to know you care
That you want to hear every word of mine
And to always make sure I'm doing fine

Oops you're not the mommy that part's for
Thats for the mommy I wish you were
I'd really like to thank you
For trusting him,not me
Cause now I saw some things
I never want to see

Thanks for looking the other way
While he did what he did
I appreciate that you never
Believed your own kid

It's really nice you didn't listen,
Cause soon I'm going to be dead
Thanks for covering your ears,
For every word I said

I really want to look you in the eye
And tell you he never
Put his hand on my knee
Never stuck his head in the shower
And took a peek

Never hugged me tight
Just a little too long
Never made me bend over
So he could look at my thong

Never made me feel awkward
Under his gaze
Never crawled over me
In bed where I laid

Never covered my mouth
And took off my shirt
Never made me stay silent
And pretend it didn't hurt

Never did it repeatedly
So much that I cried
Never made me feel
Like total crap inside

Never took out a knife
The night I finally screamed
Never slit my neck open
So slowly it seemed

He never did it mommy
Is that what you wanna hear?
Will it make you feel better
About the things you had feared?

Well that's great mommy
Glad to know it helps
Hopefully now
You can live with yourself

Knowing those things
Even though they're untrue
But I'd never let you know that mommy
Cause I care about you

Have a good life mommy
I didn't wanna ruin your fun
But you had to know
What your husband has done.
