Okay guys.. not something thats ever happened to me so i can't say its heartfelt.. however i read Hersey Kisses latest piece and i felt inspired in some way to show ppl in a dark postition that there is light at the end of the tunnell.. And the ending just flowed out at the end.. so Thanks...

Broken Headlights On A Dark Road
__________________________________________
Broken headlights on a dark road
A broken child with nowhere to go
A shattered heart lies behind this door
It’s time to finally end this war

She’s tired and she’s crying
He’s at it all again
Another night of abuse
And another day of it begins

She’s been pushed against the wall
Had her clothes ripped and torn
This isn’t the life she wanted
This isn’t why she was born

She looks out upon the backyard
All those memories are still there
She was once his daughter
I guess he forgot to care

Her shadow dances alone
As she stands to escape
He may be her father
Be she will not be raped

She runs from her home
Her hearts beating fast
She’s not coming back
This trip will be her last

Years have come and gone
And from him she hadn’t heard
He never called and he never came
He never said a word

So as a final breathe is taken
We stand to remember them all
The girls who didn’t last forever
The ones who broke after the fall

And encrypted on a piece of paper
Was a note she’d take to her grave
The final plea of an elderly woman
The words she’d tried her best to save

Dad I’m your little girl
But I can’t hide no more
You have to stop with it all
Because I can’t live anymore
Dad it’s not your fault
And those things you do regret
But my promise is eternal
I’ll forgive but not forget

Absolutly stunning. And the last stanza almost had me crying. I'm sure she'll love it.
