It's Like Poetry

When you see
His smile in the hall
Reach into his eyes
See the reflected light
The sun of all the skies

It’s like poetry
Read by its author
A play written by its lead
A simple kind of rhythm
For every kind of need

But there are
Those who cannot
Feel the rhythm or rhyme
A melancholy statement
With onward dragging time

When you see
Tears within her eyes
Flood gates held ever fast
And give her a smile
A hug that might last

It’s like poetry
Read by its author
A play written by its lead
A simple kind of rhythm
For every kind of need

Here it is
The song of hearts
One man saved our human race
His love echoes in my heart
Yet so few know his face

Feel the warmth
The fire in your bones
The love through each sorrow
Needed strength and rhythm
Peace in each tomorrow

It is poetry
Read by its author
A play written by its lead
A simple kind of rhythm
For every kind of need

Sanity is NOT a matter of statistics.
The earth is round, germs cause desease, and God speaks.

This was amazing...and definately my favourite from you! I especially loved teh recurrance of this particular stanza:

"It is poetry
