Thanks for always being there.
Even though you prolly didn't need to care.

My heart's sorrow is at ease.
But tonight I want to be alone, please.

Your kindness has been known and I know you really do care.
But you couldn't of known what its like.. you were never there...

Don't try to pity me for the pain the i've been through..
The pain that I feel right now, you would never knew..

How much this burden weights, how much this anger burns.
If only you got glimpes on what its like, if only you had a turn.

I know you'll always be there for support and talk to me when I need.
But I don't wanna hear the words, sometimes i just need to bleed.

I don't wanna hear your voice right now.. I just need to think.
This burden is like a weight. dragging me through deep waters.. just for me to sink..

But thank you fro all you have done.
But you don't really know me.. I'm just the abusive fathers son.

(nods once)I've never been through what you've been through, but the reaction sounds familiar.
Bleed out the infection Zach. Hope, hope if you can.

Heya Zach,

I normally stay out of this section, but I care.  I am glad that you stayed with us here in PiP -- and

Happy Birthday!

You are the best fifteen year old in PiP as far as I am concerned!

Alison

(Oh, and PS -- I am the abusive father's daughter.  I survived.  I am happy that I have.  Mostly, I am simply happy.

The worst part of my life was being forced to live in his home - but now that time has separated us.  Zach, I see his failings and his weak sides.  I see his brilliance.  I see the wonderful that were parts of him.

And I see that he never could conquer me.

Hang in there.)

Dear Zach,

I didn't know it was your birthday.  Egg on my face, I guess!  Happy birthday...

One of the things that helped me may not help you, but I'll pass it on anyway.  Somewhere along the line I found out that brains always function at their best capacity, always, always, always; no matter how rotten that seems, you're always doing the best you can.  If it feels you're not getting anywhere, it's because you need some help figuring out another route getting where you want to go, not because you're not trying hard enough.

I hope you can fight your way through my double negatives there.

Basically, you're always doing the best you can.  Don't let anybody tell you otherwise.  If you run into problems, it's not from lack of effort, it's from a problem in strategy, and you probably need some friends to help you figure out a new strategy.  Odds are, you're fine.

What that mean, by the way, to be "just the son of an abusive dad?"  Especially that very slippery word "just."  Is that like Jimmy Carter being "just" a peanut farmer?  Or Robert Frost being "just" an apple farmer?  Or George Washington being "just" a juvenile delinquent who had a problem with axes? or what?  smarty pants?

Inquiring minds want to know?  BobK.

Dear Mr. Rain,

As of 3/30  I'm 60.  I have to climb into my own lap to brush my teeth, and onto my own shoulders to part my hair.  I've meditated for more than 35 years, so sometimes at night, when I close my eyes I think I can still see the books and the window and the chest against the wall, and I can look up through my closed eyes and see the fan spin in the air.  I own fountain pens and I love using them and I've been married to the same woman for 20 years, and she actually gets more interesting the older I get. The two of us together own more than 20,000 books, most of which we've read, but which we don't have room to display.   I know both of us are getting older, but she looks more beautiful to me all the time, even though she really does look her age.  I am both happy and sad together much of the time and I make a point of telling people as close to the absolute truth as I can articulate at any one particular time or else I say nothing or say I'm not going to answer.  That's not exact, but it's as close as I can get for now.  Is that pretty much what you were asking?  Sincerely Yours, BobK.

Dear Falling Rain,

I keep forgetting where I put the wisdom, but this wouldn't be the first time the dog's gotten into it.  My wife tells me that I keep it in the closet with the belt.  I'd ask her for details, but I lost my wife this morning.  I think she took a road trip in the model T.  I know I'm in trouble with her, because she took the "I'm fallen and I can't get up button with her."  It's not as big a deal as she'd like to think, though.  She took one of the old phones with her to keep in touch with her friends, and all I really have to do is follow the extension cord.

Smartie Pants, indeed.  Keep in mind I can't say everything I want to say around the censorship program here.  Indeed I do think you're smart.  And it was the backside of you that I was thinking of in this case, as in Smart---!  I was simply trying to be cuddly and housebroken.

     Yours in decrepitude, BobK.

LOL OOOOHHhhhhhh I understand! lol took me a few readings but I got it! lol..

Eh people say I'm smart but I just don't think at the spot.. I'd be in a convosation and someone will like try talking to me and i'll be like "What??" and they're like "gawd your retarded" and I'd be "Well At least I'm smarter then you! lol." But yeah, I'm book smart not street smart lol..

Thanks for the explanation BobK.
