Screw these damned relationships
that consumes the contents of each mind
Good riddance to every childish woe
that causes our conscience to fall blind

Lets forget every failed love
and for a moment pretend we care
about the discrimination we often dismiss
In a world that’s so unfair.

Lets put aside our selfish desires
and pay attention to the real concern.
Like the starving children in Africa
who don’t even get the chance to learn.

Lets give way to our vanity
and for once do something just
we could reach out to the homeless
instead of gawking in disgust

Lets disregard every trivial clash
and attempt to heal the hurt
of the ones who have fallen victims
to an overly intrusive flirt

Lets eliminate all our self-obsession
and fight for a worthy cause
like the inequality between each race
that taints this world with wars

Lets abolish every naïve belief
and finally accept the reality
that gays and lesbians have rights too
despite their sexuality

Lets say goodbye to prejudice
and make justice ascend newfound heights
for once let us take a stand
and grant mankind his rights.

Inside this exterior, over which the eye might have roved…there was the record of a pulsing life, which had learnt too well for its years – Thomas Har
