So we Blame the Pauper

There is a word I’ve tired to write
But nothing seems to say
The express meaning I’d like to make
In agony I lay

As I look through the clear glass window
Littered with droplets of rain
I’m reminded of all I cannot seem,
Though I try, to obtain

I’d love to pretend today I care
For your problems and petty wars
But nothing but this tired façade
Can stay and still be yours

I’m tired of all these trivialities
These unimportant facts
It much too late for we forget
It’s liveliness we lack

And so we blame the pauper
For wading in the streets
When it’s really our own fault
He has no where to sleep

and in the daylight i miss the nightmare- but deathly fear it in the dark of night

Man-you are having a hard time of it! I know just how you feel, if the magnitude isn't at all so strong.
Good luck getting through all the trivialities. Somtimes I find it's best to endure a heated battle rather than sit through a war of attrition, if you know what I mean.

And so we blame the pauper

When it’s really our own fault

I love this part. The imagry is exelent and the symbolism awsome. An absolutly masterful poem all around!
