Crystalline (3/4/08)

Crystalline eyes of glass
Have seen the better days
When love was real and comfort
Came when time was mazed

We titter on the edge
Of what is real and what is fake
We missed too many changes
So it’s time for a second take

As we go to the rip
That our fancy words have made
We find that our brave faces
Hide the fact that we’re afraid

The fragmented piece of soul
That this world picked upon
Is dying out so quickly
Alas! It’s almost gone

The spidery cuts that cover
The glass breakers I did know
Have finally brought together
The love we could not show

and in the daylight i miss the nightmare- but deathly fear it in the dark of night

Ok I've read this and re-read this and I can't attach great meaning to it! I feel as if it's lurking just beyond the depths of my conscienceness, waiting for the least opportune moment to click! (I'm slightly frustrated.)
Anyway, this was a beautiful poem Kate. The flow was absolutly marvelous, and I do enjoy riddles despite how stumped I am on this one!
(I will get it eventualy...)

"Be Strong and Always Remember what made you you." Earl

"Ooo!!! Ooo!! I know! I know! um...he he" Earl
(Yes I am crazy)
