Okay here's the problem I wrote this poem but some of it i dont understand. can you help me interprate what it means. please!! ___________________________________________________ Thunder rolling over head Trying to avoid all this dread. Rain is falling on my face My tears, leave a subtle trace Thinking of the good ol'days All the laughs from all the play Dreaming of what comes next Now leaves me dreadfully vexed Old memorys bring me tears Awakening my old fears These memorys haunt my past Hopefully the rain wont last. |

This is what I think "Thunder rolling over head Trying to avoid all this dread. Rain is falling on my face My tears, leave a subtle trace" I would say this line says that you have something bothering you but you would prefer not to deal with it, hence the trying to avoid it. And the tears are a result and the rain is also representing of your emotions. "Thinking of the good ol'days All the laughs from all the play Dreaming of what comes next" This is what you use to do, the fun you had before this mysterious dread come above your head "Now leaves me dreadfully vexed Old memorys bring me tears Awakening my old fears These memorys haunt my past Hopefully the rain wont last." So having to think of your past makes you said and there obviously was also some bad in your past that is making you sad and brings up old worries that you would prefer not to remember and the rain is this dread hanging above you. I think the whole poem is trying to tell you that even though you don't want to deal with this one thing you might have to, it might be best otherwise it's just going to hang over your head like a black cloud. thanks surf! That clears it up alot. i guess when i was writing this, i was thinking of an old friend and then i moved away from my old home i guess thats why i wrote it. thanks for your insite (or perspective) i greatly appretiate it! =) |
