Split

Life is so hard to capture
When one is walking the lines
When the crack grows deep and steady
You must chose where your lot lies

But I haven’t yet decided
And the earth threatens to swallow
Anyone who dares to tempt
Those wandering souls who wallow

I’m on a rocky shore
And the waves sound in my head
I’m lured toward the depths
The ocean’s briny song for dead

Pulled between the nightmare
And almost worse- reality
I wonder to which I’ll fall
Or if they’ll both fall on me

It’s stranger than I thought
This barren waste of land
Filling up my thought with
Their wandering grains of sand
