Friendship Survives

Friendship Survives:

When times are rough I get through
And look to my friends. When people
Act as Serpents act on their prey,
Friends are the eagle that strikes it.
When they leave, you shall not forget
How they treated you.
For when they come back you shall
Treat them the same way.
It’s hard to think they will leave some time.
But they will not leave your heart.
As well as they have treated you,
You find new friends to fill in for them
As a substitute fills in for a teacher.
For they will visit and they will come
Back to memory.
Friendship survives and so do you.
