There she goes, that empty shell
She is nothing but a distant figure
just trying to survive in this world,
a living nightmare that is her hell.

Her head bears an invisible symbol,
which can only be seen by the one
who bestowed it upon her very soul
that fateful day the curse was sown.

What happened to her that night
the curse came into full realization,
has been unspoken all this time
which has left the scar on her mind.

You see the curse was not caused
by the event that occurred long ago,
but was a result of the silence
that had followed in its shadows.

The silence is the curse she bares,
never letting go of its strangle hold.
She shall always wander the earth
with a secret of pain, never ceasing to consume her.

"Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,
Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortals ever dared to dream before;" -Edgar All

It kind of sounds like you are trying to describe Fiona from Shrek in a sort of way. But it was still fairly well written
