I look in your eyes as you weep, so scared.
Promise me you won’t anymore, promise me that.
I can’t stand to see you like this, so scared and afraid,
Part of me dies inside each time you cry.

I look in your eyes as you weep, so scared.
I wipe the tears away and look you in the eye.
If only you knew just how much I love you,
If only you knew nothing will happen from this.

I look in your eyes as you weep, so scared.
My own eyes tear as I sit here crying,
Weeping for you, longing for you.
Your eyes still tear and begin to wet.

I look in your eyes as you weep, so scared,
And see that I have failed you; I broke the promise I yearned to keep.
I said we would do nothing more, for your sake.
And here tonight look at what we’ve done.

I look in your eyes as you weep, so scared.
I can’t help but cry too, this promise I broke may just break you.
Again I will say that nothing will happen.
I’ve failed myself I broke that promise.
I’ve failed you, I’ve broken my promise.

I look in your eyes as you weep, so scared.
I sit here thinking how could this happen,
Everything I’ve said now down the drain.
You say you still love me, I know you do.
I say I still love you, you know I do.
Even though, I’ve caused you all this pain, this hurt, this fear, this burden.

I look in your eyes as we weep, so scared.
What do we do?
