Scarlet Sin

It’s hard, isn’t it?
The way that we play this game
The danger is growing nearer
It’s time to learn to stop

I find that I don’t know how I feel
It’s an emotion that was
Forgotten, and never accordingly named
It’s a foreigner here

But my scarlet stains have whitened
It took hard work and effort,
And some pain by trail and error
But I finally got it- snow white beginnings

It’s nearing an unpleasant place
And only I can think
Of what it will bring us
This is everlasting disgrace

Perhaps if we weren’t so accustom
To all the world has to offer
Maybe we would have been smarter
With the way we controlled our actions

"I have no other but a woman's reason:
I think him so, because I think him so."

I really loved this, Kate. This is probably my favourite by you.
"I find that I don’t know how I feel
It’s an emotion that was
Forgotten, and never accordingly named
It’s a foreigner here"

my fave stanza. The imagery is amazing. Going in my library. Amazing write!
