Cold Fronts and Wallets Made of Blood

The sovereign wind is made a liar
when it whispers through my hair,
telling me thoughts from the fire
as the sun stumbles in the sky.

It spoke in a tired sort of way
asking me to hold its hand,
but i knew better than to partake
of its whimsical schemes.

I traced its thoughts to a quiet wood
where warmth could be heard,
but in the heart of that place stood
a desperate plea to my soul.

I understood the unspoken feeling
as blood rushed to my head,
only waiting for my captive breathing
to take its leave from my body.

great poem. nice clean rhyme scheme. I also like the concepts portrayed. good job. Its a shame more people havent read it.

Wow I agree with Jess, this was really great. I am glad you decided to come back to Passions. I bet it seems so different now though. Having everyone you used to know gone. well nevertheless good to have you here
