This is an old one of mine that I treasure, but I don't think its quite right. Maybe I'm just being paranoid. Anyways, enjoy!

Radiant Dawn

Skies grieved by clouds so gray,
shrouding sun and moon all day.
A breeze so sad, a sigh so cold,
a grip so mighty, an unending hold.

Come dawn these clouds subside,
receding like an ocean’s tide.
Revealing skies set ablaze,
lifting eyes and cloudy haze.

A beacon of hope, a brand-new day,
gone is the sky grieved by gray.
A wind so daring, a breath so bold,
a grip now spent, a relinquished hold.

The more you know, the more you know you don't know. -Socrates

Thanks for the encouragment. This poem was a hassle for me to write, but it holds a special place in my heart.
