Glass (Code Word for Everything)

Glass, though pretty, breaks so easily
A simple action undoes all done
If the world were to fall apart
If it were to shatter like glass
I would want a pretty world
So I could appreciate what I lost

Glass is clear, in usual reality
A simple look displays beyond, or reflects
Your eyes reflect my face in their pools
Or, sometimes
They will display actions beyond now
I never tire of these displays

Broken glass is sharp, whole glass- smooth
Nothing is quiet as violent, or submissive
Just like a heart, my heart
The more it breaks, the edges cut
When whole it is beautiful and meek
Two things that I shall never forget

I enjoyed reading this poem, although I had to read it several times to understand it.

I noticed you did not use any punctuation. Was this done purposely?

Also, you said in your third stanza that the heart is beautiful and meek when whole. I agree with this, but I'd also like to add that a broken heart is just as beautiful, as well as sad, to see.

dear assassin,

my personal belief is that a broken heart can make beautiful things, but i don't believe it in itself is a beautiful thing, but that is just the opinion that my broken and repatched heart has.
