Today I felt like leaving,
Ending this story here.
I've spent enough time spelling out my feelings.
It's time I've locked up my soul,
and buried it with my body.

Downed a couple more,
Carved a little deeper.
That's what I did today.
Sat down and cried,
Prayed that it would all go my way.

Break down my self
And inspect what's lying deep inside.
Please, won't someone look through my tunnel
And connect with me, today.

So today, I downed a couple more,
Carved a little deeper...
Then I realized it was too late,
And waited for my eyes to glaze over.

I know you'll be a sun in somebody else's sky, but why can't it be mine?

It's kind of heavy here...But I like this anyway. Good when you said your eyes glaze over!

Wow that was deep and very moving. Well written and a great example that poems dont need rhyme to be affective

well done.
