When I dream I see a day coming soon, when I can layback, free from all the distraction taken on by the wish for wealth and obvious constrictions it brings.

I imagine the days when I can actually see what my soul sees,
So I can feed a mind so thirsty for the beauty of knowledge and progression of mankind.
I imagine days when I sit alone in the park looking high into the night sky searching for the essence of ancient minds past, held captive to the system of all things.

This world is so simply complicated, so simply beautiful and so simply separate from all who ignore what happiness and fulfillment is to our mind’s very nature.

I long for silence in the dawn of morning
I long for inspired thought by evening stars and blessed moonlight
I long for afternoons hiking mountains as old as the ocean
I long for that which is greater
I long for that which is wiser
I long for the power of inspired intuition
I long for sitting on couch cushions as the first winter snow dances forth
I long for sipping hot chocolate for posterity’s sake just as the first flakes fall from the sky.

I’ll make snow angels in the snow staring wide-eyed into the off-white sky, listening to the sounds of ice crystals dancing to the ground
Even in the death of seasons I’m captured; attentive to social plight and conscious to the beauty so many chose to ignore.

How beautiful these days could be if we could only keep quiet in the presence of a reality holding the keys to existence
How beautiful these days could be if we could only let go the binds of money,
How beautiful these days could be if we could only let go our daily perils,
How beautiful these days could be if we could only let go our tales of selfish success,
How truly beautiful these days could be if we could only let go sideways distractions spoken in ignorance and irresponsible chatter.

Then and only then shall man march triumphantly into un-traveled waters,
Then and only then could we dive head first into the future with curious eyes, attentive ears and open minds.

I imagine a dream worth longing for
I long for a future worth imagining

I imagine a dream worth longing for
I imagine a future worth living
