Let go

When all you have changes
You learn what it means to live
Make due with less than needed
And the true meaning of give

And yes while it hurts
You will feel the pain
But not all is lost
You still have the bloody game

Hope may extinguish
Itself in the light
But it’s what pulls you through
The blackest night

I’m learning to let go
And I’ve failed once or twice
It’s so hard to let go
When one must give up one’s vice

But I’m tired of falling
So maybe I’ll land
I’m coming down quicker
Than I have planned
